Motion City Soundtrack formed in 1997 in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and self-released their first album I Am the Movie in 2002, before they were signed to Epitaph Records and the album was rereleased in 2003. They released Commit This to Memory, which featuring Mark Hoppus of Blink-182 producing and lending his voice to track "Hangman," two years later, and Even If It Kills Me in 2007. The band has had several hit singles, and has gained even more popularity through the use of their tracks in video games and movies.
